Annica's Diary #1
40 pages, full colour, 6.69" x 10.24". Annica Bungalow is a clueless, spoiled heiress with a heart made of gold! She and her gang exist in realms of endless possibilities, including eventually, maybe, class consciousness… Annica’s cooky, campy, chronicles are a rip-off, send-up, take-down, love-in, satire, parody, homage, adoring tribute… well, you get it — to classic American comic books, especially the repetitive (yet still experimental) floppy newsstand publications of the 1980s and 90s. In reverence to the source material, the comic is colored using (mostly, almost) only the fun fifty-color palette that defined the ‘Bronze Age’ of mainstream comics, due to printing press limitations of the period.
